BJP holds key strategy meetings before 2027 Uttar Pradesh polls

The Uttar Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intensifying its preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections with a series of high-level organisational meetings scheduled for early October.

Vinod Tawde, the BJP in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, will visit Lucknow on October 1 and 2, accompanied by co-in-charges. During this visit, multiple meetings across various tiers of the party will be conducted to deliberate on the upcoming electoral strategy.

The sessions are expected to prioritise strengthening the party organisation, reviewing existing preparations, and formulating a comprehensive roadmap for the state elections.

Subsequently, the party plans to hold a two-day ‘Chintan Baithak’ in Mathura on October 3 and 4. Attendees will include BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and senior state office-bearers. This meeting will focus on detailed discussions regarding election preparedness, organisational tactics, and overall electoral planning in Uttar Pradesh.

The BJP’s election-related activities will continue on October 7 with a programme in Varanasi—the parliamentary seat of Prime Minister Narendra Modi—featuring Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Nitin Nabin.

These meetings indicate the BJP’s strategic efforts to consolidate its electoral approach by convening significant gatherings in Lucknow, Mathura, and Varanasi during the first week of October.

On September 30, Nitin Nabin chaired a meeting at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi with about 65 state in-charges and co-in-charges. Discussions centred on organisational expansion, electoral preparedness, and outreach initiatives.

Prominent attendees included BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh, Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Smriti Irani, Biplab Deb, Harish Dwivedi, Sanjay Bhatia, Satish Poonia, and Gajendra Patel.
