#WATCH | Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: Petitioner in a case against Rahul Gandhi, Nageshwar Mishra, says, "... During his visit to the United States in September 2024, Rahul Gandhi made a highly controversial and inflammatory statement, which was supported by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani terrorist... Rahul Gandhiβs statement amounts to abetting a war against India, a cognisable offence under Section 147 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), punishable by life imprisonment or even the death penalty. In connection with this, I filed a complaint before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate IV, Neeraj Kumar Tripathi, in Varanasi. My complaint was dismissed on 18 November 2024, following which I appealed to the Additional Sessions Judge V, Varanasi. My appeal was allowed on 31 July 2025. Rahul Gandhi challenged that order before the High Court, which dismissed his appeal on 26 September 2025. Subsequently, on 17 October 2025, the court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate IV, Varanasi, again dismissed my complaint, stating that it did not specify the date and time of the alleged offence. I appealed again before the Additional Sessions Judge, arguing that specifying the date and time was not essential; my petition was rejected for certain reasons. I have now filed an application before the High Court under Section 528. Today, my two advocates, Satyendra Kumar Tripathi and Aman Singh, argued the matter for more than 30 minutes. The court has reserved its order, and I am now awaiting the decision..."

Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath says, "Under the ESI scheme, sanitation workers should also have access to hospital facilities for medical treatment. In addition, arrangements have been made to provide all these workers with personal accident insurance coverage. If, unfortunately, a worker meets with an accident or dies, their family should not be left helpless. Instead, the government will provide a substantial financial amount to support the family. Provident Fund (PF) contributions will also be deducted for these workers. After all, they too must have the opportunity to retire with financial security at the age of 60 or 65, when they are no longer able to work. They should not have to depend entirely on their children; they should have savings of their own..."

Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath says, "...You can all see that Kashi has changed. Under the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the eternal city of Kashi has undergone a transformation. Before 2014, Kashi had narrow lanes, heaps of garbage, stray cattle and bulls roaming the streets, frequent power shortages and traffic congestion that had become a part of daily life. During the monsoon, overflowing mud and silt had become a familiar sight along the ghats. People had accepted living amid such unhygienic conditions as their fate. The city was also dominated by mafia elements and land mafias who could seize the land, houses and properties of poor people, traders and respectable citizens at will, creating an atmosphere of fear and terror. Today, Kashi is moving forward with a new radiance, a renewed identity and a new character, while preserving its spiritual and cultural heritage..."
