The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s guidance, will conduct a three-day mega job fair in Varanasi from November 3 to 5 as part of the Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission. The initiative aims to connect young people with employment opportunities and promote self-reliance.

Organised by the Regional Employment Office, the fairs will take place at three venues: Jagatpur Inter College in Jagatpur on November 3, Credence International School at Umarha Bazaar (Ghazipur Road) on November 4, and Queens Intermediate College in Lahurabir on November 5. Each day, around 40 companies are expected to participate, offering jobs across various sectors.

Assistant Director (Employment) Mukesh Kumar explained that the participating companies will select candidates based on educational qualifications, skills, and position requirements. Monthly salaries are expected to range from ₹12,000 to ₹35,000, with some roles offering annual packages exceeding ₹4 lakh.

Companies taking part in the fairs include Dixon Company, Madrasan Company, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Vikas Group, Swiggy, ICICI Bank, Sata Vikas Private Limited, Vardhman Fabrics, Tokal Kogal Private Limited, Deliveroo, Flipkart, Kelvin Pipes, Rezon Solar Limited, and Krishna Maruti.

The job fair targets candidates from high school to postgraduate levels, including those with diplomas and ITI qualifications. Mukesh Kumar stated, “Candidates with high school, intermediate, graduate, postgraduate, diploma, and ITI degrees can participate in the job fair. This event is being organised to provide employment opportunities to youth with different educational qualifications and skills, in accordance with their abilities.”

Employment Fair in-charge Deep Singh advised interested candidates to arrive at the venues by 10 a.m. with their resumes, encouraging them to participate actively in interviews and selection processes.

This three-day employment fair is part of the Yogi government’s efforts to connect the youth of Varanasi with private sector jobs and enhance their prospects for self-sufficiency ahead of Diwali.
